Oh Baby!

Can you believe it has been 5 months since our little girl arrived?! We certainly cannot believe it!

I felt like creating our baby registry was a full time job so I wanted to create a list of all of the tried and true items that we have been using the most in our day to day! I hope you find this helpful if you are expecting and are trying to navigate creating a baby registry yourself!

Feeding

  • Burp cloths

I love these muslin burp cloths- they are super soft and wash well. I am always reaching for these over some of the other burp cloths we have tried.

  • Breastfeeding cover

I think that this may be my #1 favorite purchase. This cover is not only beautiful, but it is breathable for both you and baby. It washes well too! It is worth every penny in my opinion if you are in need of a cover. It also recently has helped with distractions with feeding when we are out and about because girlfriend is very distracted!

  • Tripp Trapp high chair

After doing a ton of research, we decided on this high chair, and I am so glad that we did. First, it is beautiful. Second, it is compact. Third, it fits under the table so your child can eat at the table with you. Fourth, the adjustable foot rest allows your child’s feet to be planted from the start. This is very important and highly recommended by any occupational therapists to have your child’s feet planted when they are eating because it allows for better support and stability (I mean adults do not eat with their feet dangling so why should babies!). We opted for the high chair tray and cushion, and I am so glad that we did. It is all very easy to clean as well which is a huge bonus!

  • Feeding accessories

We decided on the ezpz brand for plates, bowls, cups, and utensils because they are designed to support independent eating.

  • Moss and Fawn forage feeder

The forage feeder was developed to help promote feeding skills early on. I love that the ice cube tray that allows you to freeze breastmilk, formula, or other pureed foods to help with sore and swollen gums with teething as well. Lily absolutely loves this.

  • Portable high chair

We bought this seat because it is compact and easy to carry to restaurants, and it easily fits onto most tables.

Bath Time

  • Bath tub

I love this bath tub because it is small and easy to store. It is also very affordable.

  • Bath cup

I love the pour and shower pour option of this cup, and it is esthetically pleasing compared to most of the other bath cups on the market.

  • Wash cloths

Muslin wash cloths, soft, and since they are thin they make it easy to clean all the small nooks and crannies.

  • Bath brush & comb

Helps to release the dry flakes that come along with cradle cap

  • Hair brush

The brush is so soft and helps to tame her little peach fuzz for now, and eventually transition to when she has more hair.

  • Seedlings baby oil

This baby oil is our absolute favorite! It is the perfect moisturizer to use after a bath, and it is naturally scented with essential oils.

  • Seedlings tear free bath soap

We realize now more than ever how important it is to pay attention to which products we are using on her brand new skin, and we love the seedlings line of products that are formulated without all the yucky chemicals and fragrance that can be found in some baby products.

Nursery Favorites

hillside nursery

see more details about her sweet hillside nursery here.

  • Diffuser

I love the snowy the owl diffuser! It is very esthetically pleasing, but all seconds as a humidifier, nightlight, and sound machine! We like to diffuse 1-2 drops of seedlings calm to help promote a calm environment for sleep, and it smells amazing.

  • Design Dua changing basket

This is the most beautiful changing basket that helped to turn our antique dresser into a changing table. It is handwoven with leather handles that add a really pretty texture to the nursery.

  • Rocker

We have spent many late night feeding sessions in this rocker, and it is very comfortable, but not too comfortable or reclined to fall asleep. It was also the perfect size for our compact nursery.

  • Crib

This is the most beautiful crib that almost looks vintage, but has the modern benefits of being able to move the mattress up and down.

  • Baby Bjorn cradle

This is the perfect cradle for those early months before you transition to the crib. It has a beautiful simple design, and has a little bounce if they move. We liked the small profile that fit well next to our bed without getting in the way.

  • Solly crib sheets

The worlds softest crib sheets! These are the best crib sheets- they wash really well and also fit perfectly snug on the mattress.

  • Mattress

We decided on the Naturepedic organic mattress because it is free of any chemicals or flame retardants, made from organic cottons, and breathable. I also love that it is a firm infant side and a cushion firm toddler side.

  • Halo Sleep Transition sleep sack

Lily likes to sleep with her arms out and accessible so after a lot of trial and error we found this sleep sack and we will not go a night without it now! It is also warmer for winter nights.

Transportation

  • Guava Roam Stroller

We LOVE this stroller. We did not love the idea of having a running stroller + everyday stroller, we were look for an all in one. I did a TON of research, and decided on the Guava Roam, and we are so happy with it. It is lightweight, does not take up a lot of space in the trunk, maneuvers well in tight spaces in stores, and is a great running stroller on the trails. It also had the conversion kit for the Nuna Pipa infant carseat that I wanted. It checked all the boxes for us.

  • Nuna Pipa Infant car seat

This car seat is so lightweight, and is worth the money just for that. It is rated very safe with side impact protection. The base is super easy to install in your car, and makes taking the car seat in and out of the car a breeze. We also love that it has the capability to be installed in a car without the base, and this has been very helpful when we have traveled. It has a UPF canopy protection, and has a canopy extension that is very useful. Lastly, it is made with FR-free material which was very important to us to reduce harmful chemical exposure.

  • Guava Travel Crib

We love to travel, and we wanted to have a travel crib that was easy to travel with. The Guava Lotus travel crib is lightweight and compact, it even packs into a backpack. Lily even slept in this for the few months we were at airbnb’s while renovating. It is a 10/10 in our book.

  • Diaper Backpack

This is one of my favorite baby purchases. The leather is beautiful but also easily cleanable. It has so many compartments for easy organization. I also love that it is a backpack because it is so easy to carry, and not to feminine for Brian to carry as well.

  • Ergobaby Carrier

This is such a comfortable carrier that will adjust and grow with your baby in multiple positions.

  • Solly Baby Wrap

This is my go to wrap for on the go. I love that it easily fits in my diaper bag to have on hand for any time I may need it. It is lightweight, soft, and so comfortable for mom and baby. It is also very easy to wrap when you get the hang of it.

  • Baby Bjorn Bouncer

This bouncer has been so helpful to have a safe place to set your baby. Lily loves it, especially with the little toy bar you can purchase seperately. It also folds down so small for easy storage or travel. This is one purchase you will not regret when you get to take a shower when you otherwise would not have been able to lol.

I hope you find this helpful to know what has worked best for us as you navigate finding the best baby items for you little one!

xo, Kelly
