Clean Living: Stain Remover
If you are a parent, then you understand the significance of stain removers.
We recently introduced pureed purple carrots, and that stuff should come with a disclaimer LOL! I thought that Lily’s jammie clothes were a goner considering her cheeks were even stained after eating, but I needed to give it a shot anyway with my go-to stain remover.
And friends, it WORKED.
Obviously having a stain remover that works is key, but it has also been very important to us to do our best to reduce toxins that we use within our home. And since welcoming our girl, we are even more mindful of reducing toxin exposure for her, so we are grateful to have found a comfortable place using these natural home care products from young living. AND thankfully we have not missed any of the conventional products that we used to use, despite testing the limits of these products since becoming a parent!
Let me tell you, we’re amazed every dang time.
What is thieves?
Thieves is a naturally derived cleaning product that uses the pure, therapeutic grade essential oils. It is plant based, non toxic, safe around kids and pets, and it is a concentrate that can replace all of your other conventional cleaning products.
Thieves Household Cleaner
One concentrate does it all.
Stain Remover:
What to do:
Soak stain in warm water with a splash of thieves household concentrate and dab of thieves dish soap overnight.
Wring out clothes and lay in the sun for a couple of hours.
Take a scrub brush with a dab of thieves dish soap or use a prepared roller* to scrub the stain(s).
Wash and dry as normal.
* fill a 30ml glass roller with 1/2 thieves household concentrate and 1/2 thieves dish soap as a premade stain stick
And that’s it! I only soak it if it is a bit scarier of a stain like this one, but otherwise spot treatment prior to washing does the trick just fine.
And if you have never heard of putting stains out in the sun, don’t knock it until you try it!
